Prairie View A&M Graduate De’Mondre Da’Twan Nard Named One of HBCU Times’ 14 Graduates to Watch
De’Mondre Da’Twan Nard has been named one of HBCU Times’ 14 Graduates to Watch for 2026, earning recognition for his outstanding achievements in architecture, construction, leadership, and innovation.
A proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University, De’Mondre earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Architecture and Construction Science in just four years. Originally from a small town with ambitious dreams, he transformed determination, faith, and perseverance into an impressive academic and professional journey.
Throughout his time at Prairie View A&M, De’Mondre gained valuable industry experience through competitive internships with nationally recognized construction firms, including Mortenson Construction, Adolf Peterson Construction, and Flintco Construction.
His project portfolio includes work on several major developments across Texas, including:
- A $10 million solar project in Houston
- The $65 million KDFW Fox4 Facility in Dallas
- The $40 million East Dallas Government Center
- The $2 billion George R. Brown Convention Center Expansion in Houston
These experiences provided hands-on leadership opportunities while preparing him for a successful career in the construction industry.
Following graduation, De’Mondre accepted a position with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, one of the nation’s leading general contractors. As an emerging professional, he represents the next generation of Black architects, engineers, and construction leaders helping shape the future of the built environment.
