Florida A&M Graduate Carlynn Andrews Named One of HBCU Times’ 14 Graduates to Watch
Carlynn Andrews has been named one of HBCU Times’ 14 Graduates to Watch for 2026, earning recognition for her leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, and commitment to empowering others.
A proud two-time graduate of Florida A&M University, Carlynn earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, building a foundation that blends business strategy, marketing, leadership, and service.
During her tenure as Miss Graduate Attendant, Carlynn launched her signature platform, Drive Purpose Beyond FAMU, encouraging students to think intentionally about life after graduation while maximizing every opportunity during their college experience. Through mentorship, professional development, networking, and conversations centered on mental wellness, she inspired fellow students to lead with confidence and purpose.
One of her most impactful initiatives is Gems4Grads, a social media platform that connects college students with professional opportunities while featuring alumni and industry leaders who share real-world experiences, career advice, and encouragement.
Her passion for leadership also led to the creation of programs such as Queens and Convos and Leading with Purpose, initiatives designed to promote authenticity, personal growth, and leadership development among students and emerging professionals.
As a founding member of the National Sales Network Florida A&M Collegiate Chapter, Carlynn helped establish the university’s first sales and marketing organization. Serving as both Chief Marketing Officer and President, she worked to expand internship opportunities and strengthen students’ professional development.
Beyond business and leadership, Carlynn is also the founder of Carlynn The Artist, where she uses art to promote self-esteem, mental wellness, and positive representation for minority communities. Her entrepreneurial work has earned recognition from both WBENC and USABE, highlighting her impact as a business leader and creative entrepreneur.
Whether through business, mentorship, advocacy, or artistic expression, Carlynn believes true royalty is measured not by a crown but by the lives we positively impact.
